Kenda Leann Talley, age 18, of White Pine, TN was called home to be a special Angel at the right hand of God on November 10, 2013. She left behind a loving family who will forever be heartbroken by her absence. Kenda is survived by her loving parents, Timmy and Melissa Talley; brothers, Austin, Jordan and Dylan Talley; grandparents, Larry Liner, Ann McKinney and Albert Talley; her fiancé, B.J. Wes;t also very special God Parents, Zach and Ashley Costner; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kenda will be remembered for her love to hunt, fish, four-wheeling, welding and her big beautiful smile. We know Kenda is in Heaven hunting like a girl. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, 7:00pm at Leadvale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Cline officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service. Graveside Interment will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, 12 noon in Balch Cemetery.

Teen dies in bizarre accident

WHITE PINE-A freak accident involving two vehicles and a deer killed a female driver, Kenda L. Talley, 18, of Talbott, on Highway 25E in White Pine, on Sunday, Nov. 10, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.Trooper Eric Raines reported that about 7:20 p.m., William M. Woody, 34, of Parrottsville, was driving a 2004 Nissan S18 south on U.S. Highway 32 when his vehicle allegedly struck a deer standing in the southbound lane.The impact reportedly threw the deer into a vehicle driven by Talley, who was headed in the opposite direction. The deer reportedly went through the windshield of Talley's vehicle and out the rear window. Talley's vehicle then allegedly left the right side of the road and traveled several feet before striking a tree and coming to a rest, according to the THP report.The Nissan driven by Woody came to rest on the right side of the highway, Raines stated in his report. Woody and two passengers were uninjured.A 13-year-old resident of White Pine in Talley's vehicle was injured, according to the report.
