James H. Gorman, age 74 of Newport passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Beatrice Gorman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Gorman of Newport; sons, James H. Gorman, Jr. and wife, Nina of Newport and Jerrod Scott Gorman and wife, Angie of Newport; brother, L.B. Gorman and wife, Phyllis of Newport; grandchildren, Josh Gorman, Tracie Gorman Sturm, Jacob Gorman and Jonathan Gorman; great-grandchildren, Kaliee Gorman, and Malorie Gorman; step-grandchildren, Elizzah Sturm and Devin Sturm and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, October 21, 2013 at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Walker and Rev. Artie Sturm officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday prior to funeral service.
