He was preceded in death by his parents Mark Atkins and Eunie Stephenson Atkins, brothers Buford, Joe, Greer Norman, Wendell, James Robert “Doc”, and Wendell Atkins. He is survived by sisters Pauline Evans, Stella Brown, Valarie Hansen, brothers Chester Atkins and Kenneth Atkins. The family will receive friends Sunday October 13, 2013, 5-7PM at the Brown Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Monday, October 14, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the New Home (Red Wine) cemetery with Dr. Byron Chambers officiating. Brown Funeral Home is honored to serve the Atkins family.
