Timothy Ray Glenn started his race Aug. 23, 1963, and crossed the finish line Oct. 6, 2013. Tim was a very loving and caring son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was of the Baptist faith; he was employed at Texas Road House (Turkey Creek). Tim fought a hard and brave fight with throat cancer. Preceded in death by grandparents, George and Hattie (French) Glenn, Jake and Iva (Cody) Dixon; three great-nephews, Cody and Tucker Wells, Mylik Sexton; brother-in-law, Mike Strickland. He is survived by parents, Raymond and Pat (Dixon) Glenn; brothers, Jerry and Daryl (Tiny) Glenn; sisters, Priscilla Strickland, Lana Joan Robbins; nieces, Teresa and Rev. Jason Rogers, Alicia Wells; nephews, Michael Sexton, William Robbins, Joey Breeden, David Price; several great-nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Mike and Shana Wheeler, three step-grandchildren; ex-wife, Elizabeth Wheeler; special cousins, Jimmy Dixon, Curtis Flynn and Jeannie Flynn; special friends, Ronnie (Papaw) and Shirley Finley, Hoyt Finley, Bobby Parks, Dave King and Larry Bowers. Family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home. Service will follow with Rev. Jason Rogers officiating. Family and friends will meet at Clarks Grove Cemetery Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, for an 11 a.m. graveside service. Condolences may be offered at http://www.mccartyevergreen.com
