  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 14 Apr 2002. McCARTER , GLEN ROY - age 48 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday April 11, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alden and Delilah McCarter and Ray Swayney; and an aunt, Betty Bullis. Survivors include his mother, Molly McCarter of Knoxville and father, Arvin McCarter of Blaine; step dad, Johnny of Knoxville; children, Calvin McCarter and Neida McCarter of Knoxville; sister and brother in law, Diane and Gary Tweed; grandmother, Kate Swayney of Blaine; four grandchildren; and two nephews, Albert and Mikey Ivey. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of McCarty Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Mikey Ivey officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday in the Lynch Bethel Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. for an 11 a.m. interment service. McCarty Mortuary 4004 Holston Dr. in charge of arrangements.
