Eleanor Claire Lett, of Knoxville, born July 28, 1937, went to her heavenly home on October 5, 2013 at Tennova Residential Hospice. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church Extension Department. To know Eleanor was to love her. Her warm and friendly smile was an expression of her love for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pauline Huff Lett and brother James E. Lett. She is survived by her sisters Imogene (Gene) Marsh, Marian French and husband Jack, brothers Wayne Lett and wife Shannon and Larry Lett, sister-in-law Wanda B. Lett, all of Knoxville and several special nieces, nephews and cousins. The family extends their gratitude to the staff and Eleanor’s friends at the Sertoma Center who contributed to the enrichment of her life for 17 years. Appreciation is also extended to Eleanor’s friends and care givers at Hillcrest North for their love and care. Memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church, 7916 Pedigo Road, Knoxville, TN 37938, or Sertoma Center, 1400 East Fifth Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917. Funeral services will be held at 8 PM on Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Dr. James Robertson, Pastors: Rev. Mark McCoig and Rev. Dennis Blazier, officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM Wednesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside service at 11 AM. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
