LOCKHART, SC-- Mrs. Joretta Carter Canupp, age 56, wife of Eddie Canupp of 3694 Jonesville-Lockhart Highway Union, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Canupp was born August 14, 1951 in Lockhart, SC, a daughter of Espy Erlene McMahan Carter of Lockhart and the late James William Carter . She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and received an Associates Degree from York Technical College. Mrs. Canupp was a retired associate from Milliken, Co, Monarch Plant.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Stephanie Inglett and husband Eric of Union; a son, Richard Stephenson of Spartanburg; a granddaughter Rileigh Jade Inglett; and a brother, James Kevin Carter of Lockhart.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the S. R. Holcombe Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ricky Cook.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, evening August 6, 2008 at the S. R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
The family is at the home, 3694 Jonesville-Lockhart Highway, Union, SC 29379.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 2200 Lake Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30319.
