Ruth (Sissy) Evelyn Havens Brewer Williams, age 79, of Maryville, Tenn., passed away at her home on Aug. 31, 2013, and is Heaven-bound thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ. Sissy was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She will always be a shining star to all that knew her. Sissy was preceded in death by husband, Delbert Williams; father of her children, Bobby Brewer; parents, Vernel and Sarah Havens; sister, Barbara Tipton; son-in-law, Danny Younce “Big D”. Survivors include: Sissy’s sister, Virginia Graves; children, Debra Younce, Kathy Brewer, Richard Brewer; grandchildren, Dusty Snodgrass and husband, Willie, Doug Younce and wife, Chasity; great-grandchildren, Danielle Snodgrass, Hannah Carrillo and husband, Joy; two great-great-grandchildren, Greg and Joseph; foster great-great-grandchild, Deon; many more special family members and friends. Special thanks to a special friend, Wendy Garland and Dr. Smuckler and staff. Graveside service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 in Centenary Cemetery, (at Open Doors Baptist Church, off Highway 129 on Centenary Road) with Pastor Alvin Patton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Debra Younce, P.O. Box 6312, Maryville, TN 37802.
