McMahan - Thompson engagement
Ms. Emily L. McMahan and Mr. William L. Thompson will marry on September 29, 2013 in a three o’clock ceremony at Pleasant Hill Vineyards in Maryville. The bride-elect is the daughter of Joe McMahan and Andrea McMahan, both of Newport, and is the granddaughter of Bill and Jan McMahan of Newport, and Kaye Balch and the late Jerry Balch, both of Newport. Emily is the Mother of Gracelyn R. McMahan, age 6.
The future bridegroom is the son of William A. and Cynthia K. Thompson of Hartford and is the grandson of the late Elvin W. and Ruth Thompson of Ft. McCoy, Fla., and the late Milton and Elizabeth E. Gostel of Miami, Fla. William is the Father of William B. Thompson, age 4.
Ms. Emily McMahan is a 2011 graduate of Cocke County High School, and a 2013 graduate of Walters State Community College’s Paramedic Program. She is employed by Grainger County Ambulance Authority as a Paramedic. Mr. William Thompson is a 2010 graduate of Walters State Community College’s Paramedic Program, and is a 2013 graduate of Roane State Community College’s Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program. He is employed by First Call Ambulance Service in Newport and Sevier County EMS, both as a Critical Care Paramedic. He is also a Fire? ghter for Cosby Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
All friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend the ceremony.
