BROWN , KATHERINE age 86, of South Knoxville, passed away early Saturday morning, May 29, 2010. Katherine was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, for over 40 years and was active in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Thomas Andrew Brown ; husband, Rufus Brown , Sr., and parents, Thomas and Pearlie Caylor . Katherine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rufus "Sonny" and Marie Brown ; grandsons, Kevin and wife, Missy Brown , Michael and wife, Lori Brown ; great-grandsons, Will and Aaron Brown ; step-great-grandchildren, Chase and wife, Emily Doane, Ryan and Chassidy Doane; step-great-great granddaughter, Baya Doane; brothers, Rev. Tommy Caylor , Howard Caylor and wife, Dora, Carl Caylor and wife, Linda; sisters: Betty Ray, Shirley Johnson, Patsy Horne, Carol Walker, Linda and husband, Ken Rose; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm, Dr. Pat Polis and Rev. Tommy Caylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:30 am for interment services. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
