Gladys C. Douglas, 90, went to be with her Lord Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 3315 Bill Douglas Rd., Newport.
Mrs. Douglas was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Cody and Minnie (Phillips) Cody; husband, Bill Douglas; two sons, Maurice and Jerry Ray Douglas; one granddaughter, Denise Finchum; great-great-granddaughter, Alisha Finchum; one brother, Otto Cody; and one sister, Geneive C. Allen.
She is survived by three children, Ruth and Charles Cogdill, of Newport, Larry and wife, Doris Douglas, of Jefferson County, and Linda Miller, of Austin, TX; one sister, Inez Williams, of Newport; five grandchildren, Barry Snapp, Bill Phillips, Vanesa Dunkhase, Brian Douglas, and David Douglas; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m., October 14, 2001, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J.D. Sisk officiating.
Graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at France Cemetery with interment following.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to have made final arrangements for Mrs. Gladys C. Douglas.
