Roby Bill Phillips, age 55 of Newport passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital.He was preceded in death by his father Roby Phillips; mother Ruth and Charles Cogdill; sister Denise Finchum; grandfather and grandmother Bill and Gladys Douglas; niece Alisha Finchum. He is survived by his daughter Candis (Jeff) Valentine; grandchildren Kaden and Asher Valentine; sister Vanessa Tyson; brother Barry (June) Snapp; special niece Alexis McGaha; nieces and nephews Melissa Thompson, Ginger Naillon, Michael and Steven Snapp and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Manes Funeral Home West Chapel with Rev. Gregg Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Open Door Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday prior to funeral service. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com.
