Freda C. Morell, age 69, a wonderful wife, loving mother, and special “Nanny,” went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer on Friday, September 20, 2013.
Freda passed from this life and into Glory in Rockford, Illinois, surrounded by her family.
Born in Newport, TN on March 4, 1944, to Juanita and Robert Frazier, she married the love of her life, Joseph Morell, on September 1, 1961. Together they had four children who loved them dearly. She was the sparkplug of the family who kept everyone together during good times and bad.
She especially enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flower gardens, as well as daily visits with her sister, Anna Taylor.
Freda is survived by her loving husband, Joe Morell, Sr.; children Joe Morell, Jr. (Diana), Tracy Morell, Brian Morell (Meggan), and Aimee Watton (Aaron); grandchildren Lexie and Alaina Morell, Carl Choppi, Brennan, Collin, and Aidan Morell; and Ashlyn and Aaron Watton; sisters Anna Taylor, Theda Williams, and Terri Cody; and brother John F. Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Myra Cook, and her brother Bobby Frazier.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Water of Life Ministries, 2420 New Milford Church, Road, Rockford, IL with Pastor Daniel Hernandez officiating.
