Tracie and Jason pledge vows June 1
Tracie Lynn Layman and Jason Brian Green were married June 1, 2013, in a five o’clock afternoon ceremony at the home of the bride’s grandmother. Dr. Rich Lloyd officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Tim Layman and Karen Cody of Newport and Sabrina Delph and Tim Delph of Morristown.
She is the granddaughter of Nancy Layman of Newport, the late Gene Layman, and of Ralph and Shirley Gregg of Morristown.
Parents of the bridegroom are Karen Layman of Dandridge and George Green of Parrottsville.
He is the grandson of the late Dorothy Ellison and Tippy Ellison, the late Barbara Blazer, and the late George Green, all of Newport.
The Smoky Mountains provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The setting featured a memorial table honoring the bride’s late Grandfather Layman with a candle lit by Nancy Layman.
The bride wore a formal gown and carried a bouquet of calla lilies tied with blue ribbon. Giving the bride in marriage were her father Tim Layman, stepfather Tim Delph, and uncle Todd Layman.
Kara Hurley of Newport was maid of honor and Ashley Delph of Morristown was bridesmaid.
They wore long blue beach dresses.
Kylie Gibson of Newport was flower girl, and Hayden Green of Newport was ringbearer.
Serving as best men were Ronald McCarter of Dandridge, and Tannar Green and Scott McMahan, both of Newport.
The bride’s mother wore a floor-length multi-color dress complemented by a corsage of calla lilies tied with white ribbon.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at the Layman home. Linda Household of Newport directed the wedding and reception.
The bride’s chosen color scheme of blue and white was carried out in the decorating. Air Force One DJ of Newport provided music. Buddy and Amanda Cole used a beach theme in making the three-tiered wedding cake. Lois’s Country Kitchen catered the event.
Sheena Bryant of Newport kept the bridal registry, and Sarah Robinette was photographer.
The couple live in Newport.
She is a fulltime student at Pellissippi State and employed at Mellow Mushroom in Pigeon Forge. The bridegroom is also a student at Pellissippi State and is employed by Bush Brothers.
Dr. Gail Ayers of Galveston, Texas and Gwynn Allen of Cleveland, Ohio were out-of-town guests at the wedding.
