Wilma Bernice Potter Garner, age 77, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Garner; parents, Will L. Potter and Ida Mae Teffeteller Potter; brothers, Raymond, Elmer, Hubert, Steve, Jack, and Lawrence Potter. Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Vickie and James Fagg, and Glenda and Steve Beasley; sons and daughters in law, Jerry and Janice Garner, and Randy and Cindy Garner all of Maryville; grandchildren, Allen Fagg, Jason and Jennifer Garner, Shelley Fagg, Kristi and Mike Combs, Chelsea and Julie Garner, Ryan and Eli Garner; great grandchildren, Alisa, Jacob, and Isaiah Fagg, Olivia Garner, Brandon and Kalynn Combs all of Maryville; sisters and brothers in law, Ann Walker, Jean Everett both of Maryville, Erma Sue and Dale Burchfield of Alcoa, Elizabeth Bruno of Portage, Indiana, Frankie and Leonard Price of Walland; sisters in law, Dorothy Potter of Valley, Alabama, Loretta Potter and Janie Potter of Maryville, Carol Potter of Henderson, TN, Willie McCaulley, Vertie White, Opal (Wayne) Tipton, Betty (Max) Potter, Grace Garner all of Maryville, Janie Martin of Walland, and brother in law, Tom (Patsy) Garner of Walland; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. John J. Ingram III MD and all the Doctors and nurses at Blount Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice, 1095 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville TN 37804. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Carl White, Rev. Wayne Sexton, Rev. Greg Long, and Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
