WALKER , WILLIAM A., JR. - age 82, of Maryville, passed away Thursday evening, November 19, 1998, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a charter member and deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Retired from ALCOA after 38 years of service and member of the 25 Year Club. Preceded in death by: father, William Abraham Walker , Sr.; mother, Martha Catherine Boring Walker . Survivors: wife, Anna Mae Potter Walker ; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Terry Walker of Virginia, James R. and Donna Walker , Gary and Ruth Walker , Paul and Wanda Walker , all of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Bill Eggers, Janice and Tom Norfleet, all of Maryville; 15 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Walker of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Reba Walker of Alcoa; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Raymond Hodge of Knoxville. Funeral service 3 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 1998, Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3504 Laws Chapel Rd., Maryville, Rev. Carl White, Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., Sunday at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
