Michael Wayne Phillips, age 48, of Newport, went to be with our Lord, January 15, 2005.
He was an active member of Centerview Freewill Baptist Church of Newport.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Bertha Phillips; brothers, Terry Phillips, Teddy Phillips; father-in-law, Bill Brooks, ex-wife Nancy Philips.
He is survived by his wife Norma Jean (Jeannie) Phillips; son, Donnie Wayne Phillips and wife Michelle; brother, Lynn Phillips and wife Patsy; sisters-in-law, Gretta and Connie Phillips, and Billie A. Hodge; brother-in-law, Jim Brooks and wife Kathy, Don Brooks and wife Jean; mother-in-law, Annie Bea Brooks; special cousin, Donnie Holloway; several aunts, uncles; also lots of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Manes Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Carl Bryan officiating with burial in Open Door Church Cemetery.
Manes Funeral Home in charge.
