HASKEW W. - age 88, of Fountain City, beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 13, 2005. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, a veteran of WWII and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was the former Pastor of: Mynatt Road, Central View, Riverview, Union (Halls), BeaverDale and Piney Grove Baptist Churches. He was preceded in death by: wife, Lucile Day Smart parents, William and Alice Smart brother, Harrison Smart sons-in-law, Curtis Foster, Donnie Hood and aunt, Almeda Williams, that helped raise him. Survived by: loving wife, Betty Smart son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Janice Smart daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Johnny Rhyne, Terry and Kenny Widener daughters, Carolyn Foster, Alice Hood step children, Eddie Mannis, Jan Rector and husband Jim of Knoxville and Robby Mannis of New York 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Johnson and staff and Dr. Christopher Harris and staff, St Mary's Home Health and Hospice for their care. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Thursday and proceed to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for interment at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers: John Rhyne, Jr., Todd Foster, Jeff and Jason Smart , Chris and Scott Hood and Jonathan Widener.
