James H. Millsaps, Sr., age 66 of Maryville died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Rocky Branch Bethel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: parents, Alex and Willie Millsaps ; brother, Otha Millsaps ; sisters, Bessie Law, Lexy Tipton, Jean Hurst , Elsie Hannah. Survivors include: sons, James H. Millsaps Jr. of Sevierville, Gary and wife Annette Millsaps of Sulphur, LA, and David and wife Marcie Millsaps of Maryville; grandchildren, Clinton J. Millsaps , Brandon K. Millsaps ; sisters, Ellen Sellers, Dean Barbara, Dorothy Abbott, and Carol Radford; special friend, Ruth Jenkins; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Laws Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005, East Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
