Pleass Conard, 91, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord Friday evening, April 18, 2003. Mr. Conard was retired from Bush Brothers and was a member of Allen’s Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Conard; parents, James M. and Idella (Price) Conard; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Roger and Elaine Conard, of Newport, Jimmy and Linda Conard, of Mountain City, and Bill Conard, of Cosby; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening 6 to 8 p.m. April 20, 2003. Funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 21, 2003, at Allen’s Missionary Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Mr. Conard will lie in state 1 hour before the service. Rev. Leon Large and Rev. Doug Messer will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to make final arrangements for Mr. Pleass Conard.
