Timothy David Pierce age 44 passed away unexpectedly at his home July 30, 2013. Tim was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI but made his home in the Smoky Mountains. He was an avid hiker, outdoorsman and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James O. and Dorothy P. Pierce. Maternal grandparents Charles and Doris Foster and Uncle James M. Pierce. He is survived by his wife Chandra Mantooth Pierce, son Nathaniel J. Pierce. Parents Thomas G. and Jane Pierce of Grass Lake, MI and Mary Pierce of Hamilton, OH. Mother-in-law and father-in-law Verlin and Deloris Mantooth of Newport. Sisters and brothers-in-law Tammy and Rennett Brashear of Monroe, O Katherine and W. Scott Wentling of El Paso,TX and Kimberly Barger of Tucson, AZ. Sister-in-law Cindy Miller of Newport. Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends. Memorial service will be held Saturday August 3, 2013 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the service.
