Clyde Trentham, age 79 of Gatlinburg, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at Parkwest Hospital. He served in the United States Air Force. While he was the owner of Marshall's Creek Rest Motel, it was his personality and integrity that made his guests become lifelong friends and stay with him year after year.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert W. Trentham and Lonnie Marshall Trentham; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Harold Tarwater, Mary Louise and Richard Dixon, Mae and Fred McMahan, and Ruth and Tom Stimson.
Survivors:
Wife: Betty Trentham
Sons: Tim and Marita Spence, Dan and Brenda Spence
Grandchildren: Isaac and Tyler Spence
Sister and Brother-in-law: Helen and Frank Floyd
Several loving nieces and nephews
Clyde's family would like to express their deepest gratitude for Christina McGaha and Irene Medford, employees of the motel who are like family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sevier County Food Ministries, PO Box 6042, Sevierville, TN 37864.
Funeral service 3 PM Tuesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating and Rev. Scott Andrews providing the music.
