Coy Maggard, age 74 of South Knox County, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. He was retired from General Motors, Ypsilanti, MI, and Robert Shaw, Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Arnold Maggard; brother, Robert Earl Maggard; and nephew, Cory Maggard.
Survived by:
His loving wife of 51 years: Lillian Rice Maggard
Daughters and son-in-law: Tina and Robert Smith, and Teresa Wheeler, all of Sevierville
Grandchildren and spouses: Tiffany and Tim Tallent, Amber Sanders, Jordan and Ceresa Smith, Kennedy, Emerie, and Delaney Wheeler
Great grandchildren: Jacob and Kaitlyn Sanders; Emma, Parker, Bella, and Ava Tallent; and Baby Smith on the way
Mother: Bertha Maggard of Eubank, KY
Twin brother and sister-in-law: Roy and Karen Maggard of Michigan
Sister-in-law: Denny Maggard of Michigan
Many nieces and nephews
He was a very special husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather and they all loved him very much. They were his LIFE!
The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Wednesday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with a celebration of life service to follow at 7PM. Interment 11AM Thursday in Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
