Helen Teffeteller Lawson, 83, departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Kindred Healthcare Center. She was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Edgar C. Lawson Sr.; parents, James and Minnie Teffeteller; brothers and sisters, Joe, Andy, Leonard, Clay, Raymond, Edwin, Mary, and Violet; and daughters-in-law, Lynn Lawson and Kim Lawson. Survived by her children, James Lawson and wife, Diana, Cathy Ewing and husband, David, Linda Crock and husband, Jim, Sam Lawson and wife, Renee, and Eddie Lawson Jr.; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; special nephews, Spencer Teffeteller and Jim Teffeteller; special friend and sitter, Valerie Berger; special pet, Rascal; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Kindred Healthcare Center. Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at East Maryville Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call at their convenience from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM Tuesday and again 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
