(May 21, 1951 - February 20, 2009) Everette Cee Baxter age 57 of Newport formerly from Cosby passed away Friday February 20, 2009. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Bula Baxter; sister, Geraldine Benson; brothers-in-law, Ervin Benson, Jack Webb. He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Baxter of the home; brother and sister-in-law, James and Rowena Baxter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Ray Webb, Fannie Lou Webb and J.D. Wilson all of Cosby; special granny, Nancy Wilson; father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Emma Harper; brothers-in-law, Robert and Matthew Harper all of Newport; aunt, Ruby Gunter; uncle, Walt and Leroy Grooms of Cosby, and a host of nieces and nephews who he loved as his own children and several special cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday February 23, 2009 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Bryant Sisk Cemetery Tuesday February 24, 2009 at 11:00 am.
