Submitted by Jim Cole Overholt CCHS Class of 1965 member The Cocke County High School Class of 1965 met Saturday night, August 8, 2015, at Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center for its fiftieth-year reunion. The gathering began at 6 p.m. for visitation and for the taking of a class photo. At seven Roscoe Woody welcomed all members and their spouses, brought the invocation, and announced the beginning of the meal. In all, 121 people, including 73 classmates, gathered for a night of good food, superb entertainment, and a delightful visitation with old friends. Following the meal, Bunny Jarnigan announced an annual class reunion will be held in the future, on the last Saturday in July, destination of the place to be announced later. He then gave a special thanks to the planning committee and handed the microphone to Carwin Dunn who spoke of the debt we owed our veterans. She talked briefly of the sacrifices each soldier makes in war, reading from a letter written by C.S. Lewis.
