Mr. Lawhorn retired from Overnite Transportation after 26 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sue E. Lawhorn ; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Kay and Robbie Chamberlin of Knoxville, and Virginia and Jim Brown of Virginia Beach, Va.; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Lawhorn of Knoxville, and Charles E. and Gail Lawhorn of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandsons, David and William Jennings, and Joseph and Stefon Chamberlin; a granddaughter, Shawna Lawhorn ; great-grandson, David; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Maxine Lawhorn ; cousins, Merion Lawhorn , Paul Lawhorn , Louise Woodby, and Dorothy Ombey, and a host of nephews. Mr. Lawhorn is at Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Lane, where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
