Patsy Juanita Styles Parks, age 72 of Newport, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday morning, April 20, 2016. Patsy went to be with the Lord, following a 3 year illness with Multiple Myenoma Cancer. Patsy retired from Electro-Voice after 30 years of service and was a long time bowler, prior to her declining health. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. C. Parks and brother-in-law, Ray Parks of Newport. She is survived by her children Colette Large Sutton (Jeff), and Tony Parks (Cindy) of Newport; brother-in-law, Ivan Parks and sister-in-law, Lucille Shelton of Parrottsville and brother-in-law, Alfred Parks of Colorado; grandchildren Rick Parks (April) of Knoxville, Meagan Cutshaw (Jonathan), Brandon Large, Kirstin Overholt, Kamoryn, Casey, and Karissa Rogers of Newport; great-grandchildren Kaylee Large, Landyn Cutshaw, Kinleigh Large, Jaxson Cutshaw, MaKynzie Cutshaw, Kyzer Large and Madison Cutshaw of Newport, very special cousins, Peggy Holston and Judy Benson of Newport; wonderful friend and caregiver, Gwen Styles of Newport. The family wishes to thank Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice for their loving and excellent care of Patsy. Per Patsy’s request, she will be cremated and placed in the family cemetery alongside of her husband, R C. A memorial service may be held at a later date at the Peters/Parks Family Cemetery in Parrottsville. Memorial may be made to any Cancer Society of your choice.
