SKEEN, EDITH WILSON - of North Knoxville, passed away 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 1999 at Shannondale Health Care Center. Member of North Knoxville Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Johnny R. Skeen. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Frank Easterday, Knoxville, Shirley and Bill Monroe, Oak Ridge, North Carolina; son, Ivan Wilson , Blue Ridge, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Brown of Ashville, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Doris Wilson , Pauline Murr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Ruth Wilson ; 3 step-children, June McDowell, Roy and Troy Skeen; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday, Stevens Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tony Earl, Rev. Mike Aiken, and Rev. Bill Murr, nephew officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary to leave in procession for an 11 a.m. graveside service at Piedmont Cemetery, Jefferson County. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Alzheimers Association 600 Henley Street, Suite 50 Knoxville, TN 37902, or to the American Diabetes Association 6906 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
