Lamb, Wayne McCoy – age 83 of Knoxville passed away Friday, July 29, 2011. A retired CPA, he was a member of and served as a Deacon at Lyons Creek Baptist Church. Also a WWII Veteran, Wayne served in the US Army Signal Corp and was a member of the American Legion Sunnyview Post #2. He was a member of the Optimist Club and enjoyed gardening and metal detecting. He is preceded in death by parents, William and Leslie Lamb; spouse, Frances McCarter Lamb; sister Gwendolyn Lamb Wooten and husband Sam. Survived by daughter, Susan Frazier and husband Dr. Tim Frazier; sons, John Lamb and David Lamb, Sr.; sisters, Thelma Boyett and Gerry Davis; grandchildren, Jessica Lamb, Ian Frazier and Allie Margaret Frazier, David Lamb, Jr., and Sophia Lamb; devoted caregiver, Betty Lamb; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. David Mowry officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge, TN at 11:00 AM on Wednesday with military honors provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
