Mary Lou Bush Mattoon , age 82 of Morristown, moved to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Heritage Center with her family by her side.
She was a loving mother, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt. She was born in southern New Jersey and lived in several states including both the East and West coasts, settling in Tennessee four years ago. While living in Boxford, Massachusetts, Mary Lou enjoyed flower arranging and was active in the Topsfield Garden Club for many years, receiving a Best-in-Show award for her entry in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She loved to paint in watercolors and oils, and exhibited in art shows in and around Boston and the North Shore area. She enjoyed travel, including trips to Bermuda and Hawaii. She valued education, earning a degree in Horticulture in 1948 and a degree in Fine Arts at the young age of seventy-three.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her father George E. Bush; her mother Charlotte M. Bush; daughter Shelley Ann Mattoon ; sister Jane P. Sendlosky; and great-grandnephew Dylan M. Meheut.
She is survived by son Mark A. Mattoon and wife Connie; nephew Yves Meheut and wife Regina; nieces Marianne M. Gray and husband Dexter, and Suzanne M. Boatner and husband Scott.
