Preceded in death by wife, Joyce Kirkland , father and mother, Ulyess and Pearl Kirkland , brothers, Bobby and Paul Kirkland . He is survived by son and daughter in law, Scott and Betsy Kirkland of Maryville daughters and sons in law, Lisa and Paul Dolan of Maryville and Cynthia and Charles Greene of Philadelphia, TN grandchildren, Brittney, Tiffney, and Frankie Kirkland , Brandon Amburn, Justin Myers, Steven Evans, Taylor Greene, Anna Greene, Jeffrey Isenberg, Courtney and Nikki Stevens sisters, Lynn Hitson, Jane Jackson, Shirley Green, Betty Jo Maynard, Ruth Starns, and Neil Ridenour brothers, Creed and David Kirkland several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Stoney and Jane Jackson and all the support from family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Lower Chilhowee Baptist Church, Rev. Tyson Matoy, Rev. Mike Clore, and Rev. Leon Amburn officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
