Janie Mae Robinson Brown, age 61, Hyattsville, MD, was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Mrs. Brown, a strong willed woman, fought a lengthy battle with leukemia until the Lord said, “suffer no more”. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Stewart, Joyce Stewart Mayes, and Debbie Stewart; brother, Roby Stewart. Survivors include but are not limited to: her husband, William Brown, of Hyattsville, MD; father-in-law, Bill Brown of Maryland, son, Deonta Robinson of Newport, step-children, Nadine, Lisa, Latoria and Nicole Brown and William Brown, Jr.; mother, Delia Stewart of Newport; brothers, Tony and Rebekah Stewart of Clarksville, TN, and Steve Stewart of Newport; grandchildren, Micah and Maison Martin of Newport; aunt, Mamie Elliott of Newport; special aunt and friend, Anna and Henry Cofield of Suitland, MD ; and uncle Charles Stewart of Newport, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Brown will indeed be missed by all but never forgotten!! The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2013 with funeral services following at 1:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rosie K. Cuberson officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Gum Springs Union Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the guest register on line at: www.manesfuneralhome.com.
