CLARK , MARGARET NELL DALTON age 84, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2010. Margaret was a steadfast Christian and a longtime member of Sullivan Road Christian Church. Margaret was a talented pianist who began playing when she was only four years old. She performed in local churches for many years. Upon her marriage to John, she gave up performing to start a home and a family. However, she continued to play the piano in her home, and she would often entertain her family and her friends. Margaret has joined her devoted husband of 63 years, John C. Clark , her parents, Samuel and Maude Dalton, sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille (Fred) Allen, Elizabeth (Buster) Smith, Frances (Verner) Hall, and brother and sisters-in-law Ed (Louise/Gladys) Dalton in heaven. Margaret is survived by her son, Mark (Debbie) of North Carolina and daughter Linda Moody (Ronnie) of Knoxville; her grandchildren, Melanie (Jim) Venglarik, Preston (Jennifer) Clark , and John Moody; and her great grandchildren, Anneliese and Michael Venglarik. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Betty Carroll. The family would like to thank caregivers Anita Russell, Annette McMillan, Donna Dake, Glenda Johnson, and Peggy Earl. Also, special thanks to Chaplain Paul Trumpore, Shawn Province, and church friends for their cards, calls, gifts, visits, and prayers through the years. The family would also like to thank Dr. Wesley Hayes, Dr. David Belew, Faculty Internal Medicine, UT Home Physical Therapy, UT Home Healthcare, and UT Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Margaret . Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am on Wednesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service and interment, Chaplain Paul Trumpore officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to: Sonlight Puppet Ministry, Central Baptist Church of Bearden, 6300 Deane Hill Dr, Knoxville, TN 37919 (865) 588-0586. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway. Mrs. Clark 's guest book is also available at www.stevensmortuaryinc.com.
