Bobby Lynn (Doc) Caldwell, 75, of Walland, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harley and Mamie Martin Caldwell. He retired from Fuller Transfer after 30 years of service, faithful member and song leader at Harmony Baptist Church on Lincoln Road in Alcoa. He was a devoted husband and loving father that really enjoyed his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Renda Russell Caldwell, children: Mike and Joy Caldwell, Danny McKelvey, Teresa McKerlvey, Tracy McKelvey, Thomas McKelvey, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, siblings: Charles and Glenda Caldwell, Rev. Ray and Willie Caldwell, Carolyn and Coy Connatser, Gerald and Gayle Caldwell, Chester Caldwell, and Ronald Caldwell. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Yates and Rev. Ray Caldwell officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at the funeral home to proceed to Grandview Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with the final expenses.
