(August 13, 1948 - February 26, 2016) Ronald Dale Garren, 67, of Maryville, passed away February 26, 2016. Ron is survived by his wife Neva and their children, son, Josh and his daughters, Makena and Riley, and daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Doug Shaver and their children, Bryson and Ryan Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Garren and Frank Sturdivant and sisters, Ann Garren-Weeks and Tammy Wilson. Ron loved his family, and loved that he proudly served his country with the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War. He worked at Schlegel TN for several years and ended his work career at UT Medical Center. Ron also served his community as a baseball coach and Boy Scout leader. Ron accomplished many goals in his life, but none more important than being a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Jim Sturdivant and Charles Garren; brothers, Larry Hutson and Jim Sturdivant; and in-laws, Elizabeth and Edgar Alexander. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at West Maryville Baptist Church, 810 West Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Maryville, TN 37801.
