Carroll R. Fowler, age 76, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, April 24th, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Carroll was born on August 10, 1936 in Newport, TN to the late James Carl and Kathleen Sexton Fowler. He was the owner of Fowlers Upholstery. Mr. Fowler was very proud to be a Founding Member of the Somerset Model Airplane Club. He was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church in Newport, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Lorna Brindle Fowler, who he married on August 22nd, 1957 in Liverpool, England; a daughter, Susan (and Jason) Meeks of Berea, KY, two sisters, Janice Freeman of Morristown, TN, Lorene Horne of Ormond Beach, FL; a grandchild, Jessica Meeks; and a special family friend Ike Walker.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Harold L. Fowler.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at 5:00pm, in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with services to follow at 8:00pm with Bro. Glen Singleton officiating.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Point Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Newport, TN.
