STINNETT , G. EDWARD (ED) - age 58 of Alcoa passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the family home. He was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam Era. He attended East Tennessee State University and retired from First Tennessee Bank. He was currently working as a Vice President of Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union. Ed devoted many years to officiating football and basketball as well as coaching girls softball at Eagleton Little League and with the Challenger Program. Ed was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping. Preceded in death by: parents, A.J. & Estelle Stinnett parents-in-law, Raymond & Ruth Hutson brother-in-law, Gary Hutson. Survivors include: wife, Barbara Hutson Stinnett daughter and son-in-law, Jama & Josh Boyd of Alcoa daughter, Natalie Stinnett of Alcoa grandchildren, Tyler & Allie Boyd sister and brother-in-law, Sharon & David Petke of Kingsport nephew, Rodney Holland of Miami, FL niece, Rebekah Holland of Montevallo, AL several other nieces and nephews brother-in-law, Rick Hutson. Ed dedicated his life to working with children and athletics. He loved his family and friends. The entombment service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. NO FLOWERS PLEASE. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Alcoa First United Methodist Church with a memorial service following at 7:30 PM with Rev. Joe Green officiating.
