Retired from American Enka after 33 years service, a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Navy, and a member of the Leadvale Lodge # 390 F & AM. He is survived by son, William Dale Arwood; daughters, Becky (Tiny) Rathbone, Mary Kate Mann, Lois Cutshaw and Janice Venable; grandchildren, Ashley Arwood, Brian Venable, Tine Rathbone, Linda Rathbone, Tammy Rathbone, Mike Mann, Kim Arwood and Todd Arwood; sisters, Maude Arwood, Dorothy Brown and Gladys Cleek; brothers, Clayton Arwood, James “Bunt” Arwood and Ruble “Tip” Arwood. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from the Farrar White Pine Chapel with Reverend David Bugg officiating. Graveside military services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the White Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service and a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. conducted by the Leadvale Lodge.
