Reva Dean Ward, age 83 of Newport, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth “Don” Ward; mother, Mildred Layman; brothers, Eugene Layman and Gary Layman; sister, Alma Kate Conley; and brother-in-law, Bill Conley. She is survived by her sons, Steve McMahan of Newport and William (Angie) Rick of Jefferson County; daughter, Phyllis (Jackie) Reece of Newport; brothers, Earl (Wilma) McMahan, Billy Bob (Carolyn) Layman, and Tony Layman all of Newport; sisters, Wilma Arrowood of White Pine, Vondle Joe Cox, and Paulette (Sam) Cureton all of Newport; grandchildren, Jackie “Little Jack” Reece, Michelle Davis, Tiffany Jarnigan, and Natasha Rick; great-great grandson, Atticus Benton; great-great-granddaughter, Katherine Benton; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm with Brother Scott Gorrell officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Union Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the guest register online at www.manesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Manes Funeral Home.
