Patricia Ann Bauman 70, Anaheim California, wife of the late George A. Bauman, Jefferson County Historian passed away at her home on July 15, 2003 of a lingering illness (lung cancer). She was the daughter-in-law of the late Kate Bauman, noted Cocke County Musician.
Patricia helped her husband establish Restore Our Courthouse, Inc., (ROC) a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and restoring the Jefferson County Courthouse in Dandridge. After the courthouse was restored, ROC was changed to Restore Our County and was dedicated to saving other antiquities of Jefferson County.
After the death of the late George Bauman in 1986, Patricia returned to her native California where she established the Anglican Order of Caring Sisters under the direction of the Right Reverend Robert E. Halliwell, III (Bishop). Patricia became the first Mother Superior of the Order. She served over 15 years as Alter Guild Directress of St. Andrew Independent Anglican Church in Los Alamitos, California until her illness.
Patricia is preceeded in death by her parents Frank Byron Morris and Mary Elizabeth MacKim and her husband George A. Bauman, Sr. She is survived by three sons: Paul Guy Ford, Jr., Philip Grant Ford, and Patrick Gregory Ford all of California, and one grandson, Paul Guy Ford III. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Katheryne Bauman Mason of Newport, Tennessee.
Funeral Arrangements are being handled by McKenzie Mortuary in Signal Hill, California.
