Harriet Elizabeth McCall, age 96, of Greenback, TN, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at Fairpark Healthcare Center. She will be missed by her family and all who loved her. She was a wonderful caring soul who never knew a stranger. She was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Greenback, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. McCall; grandchildren, Jerome Collins and Missy Giles; great-grandchild, Celena Millsaps; and parents, Daniel and Pansey Roberts. She is survived by her children, Emmet Ray (Jackie) McCall of Villa Rica, GA, Katherine (Ernest – deceased) Collins of Moore, SC, Darrell (Pat) McCall of Maryville, TN, LaVonne (Dowell) Spires of Greenback, TN, Carolyn (Doyle) Haynes of Vonore, TN, Merel (Wayne) Kemp of Greenback, TN, and Ginger McCall of Lenoir City; seventeen grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; 5th generation great-great-granddaughter, Selah Grace Collins; sister, Linda Hendrix of Waynesville, NC; brothers, Howard Roberts of Murphy, NC and Ray Roberts of Lenoir City, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Pine Grove Presbyterian Church in Greenback, TN, with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Greenback Food Pantry or the Greenback Empty Stocking Fund by sending donations to Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Attn: Secretary Peggy French, 308 Henry Lane, Greenback, TN 37742. Friends may call at their convenience from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at Townson-Smith Funeral Home in Robbinsville, NC.
