Born on January 1, 1940 in Robbinsville, NC, Red moved to East Tennessee as a young man. He was a veteran and cook in the United States Army. He was a selfless, humble, happy, carefree, very work-oriented man who loved his family. He was a longtime owner and operator of Dubb's Restaurant since 1970 where he enjoyed working alongside his wife and best friend, Pat. Red always felt that when a person was eating they were happy, and he took pride in being a part of someone's happiness. He loved the competition and dedication of motocross racing. The weekends he spent with his family at the races were some of his proudest moments. He loved sneaking his grandson an ice cream, but the thing he cherished the most was sitting on the front porch with his loving wife, whom he adored. Preceded in death by: Daughter, Melissa "Missy" Giles; Parents, J.B. & Harriett McCall; Father-in-law, Clarence Blair; Sisters-in-law, Shelby Chapman & Christine Kelso; Brother-in-law, Ernest Collins.
