U.S. Veteran Wayne Bradley, age 63, of Greenback, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born and grew up in Blount County. He attended Friendsville High School and served as a paratrooper in the U. S. Army. While living in Atlanta, he began his extensive career as a master machinist. He and his family returned to East Tennessee in 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Gertie Bradley and twin sisters, Willie Sue and Billie Ann Bradley. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tammy Ward Bradley; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tekila Bradley; daughter, Beth Bradley Collingsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Michael Fletcher; grandchildren, Amanda, Skyler, Austin, Chloe, Tyler, Brianna, and Aubri; brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Pam Bradley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gayle and Terry Standridge, Donna and Leon Poe, and Judy and Donnie McDaniel; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family will celebrate his life 7:00 PM Friday, March 15, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Patient Services, Inc., www.patientservicesinc.org/donate, a non-profit organization that provided Wayne much needed support during a difficult time. Family and friends will meet 11:00 AM Saturday at Morganton Cemetery for the interment.
