A native of Monroe County, he had resided in McMinn County for the past 41 years. He was a son of the late Columbus and Nannie Gurley Shaw , member of Cambria Baptist Church, Etowah Masonic Lodge # 653 and Tellico Order of Eastern Star Chp. 324. Preceded in death by: parents, listed above first wife, Janie Sue Shaw and a brother, Arley Shaw . Retired Millwright, Bowater Southern Paper Corp.
