NELSON, SARAH S. - age 90, a resident of Oak Ridge died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Clinton. Mrs. Nelson was born September 22, 1919 in Sevier County, Tennessee. She moved from Sevier county to Anderson County in 1929. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Oliver Springs since 1944. She was an accomplished musician who served as the pianist at the First Baptist Church for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nelson; by parents, Rev. C.D. Schultz and Margaret Smelcer Schultz; by brothers, John, Bill, Cary and George Schultz; and by sisters, Rebecca Seivers, Margaret Lively, Lillian McKibbon, Katie Bayless and Mae Jones. Mrs. Nelson is survived by brothers, Walter Schultz and wife Charlotte of Paintrock, TN and Robert Schultz of Wartburg and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 2009 between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Oliver Springs Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
