SEIVERS, F. REBECCA - age 90, of Claxton, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2001 at the East Tenn. Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She had worked at Claxton Elementary School as a school teacher, retiring with over 28 years of service. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Claxton. She was a graduate of Robertsville High School and attended University of Tennessee in Knoxville to receive her teaching degree. Preceded in death by husband, Lincoln Seivers; parents, Cary Dennis & Cora Matthews Shultz; step mother, Margaret Smelcer Shultz; sisters, Mae Jones, Kate Bayless, Lill McKibben, Betty Liveley; brothers, George, Bill, Cary D. Jr. & John Shultz. Rebecca was born April 27, 1911 in Sevier County.
Survivors: step daughter, Dorothy Jean Graham & husband, Carl of Powell; step granddaughters, Linda Osborne & husband, Ken of Knoxville, Gail Funderburk of Clarksville, Nancy Hatrmaker & husband, Robert of Heiskell, Barbara Hedrick & husband, Ralph of Powell; 7 great grandchildren, Donna Clevenger & husband, Tim, Lori Viar, Luke Funderburk, Joshua Funderburk, Benjy Hedrick, Valerie Treece, Nicholas Fox; 2 great-great grandchildren, Alex Funderburk, Bailey Hedrick; sister, Sarah Nelson of Oak Ridge; brothers, Walter Shultz & wife, Charlotte of Philadelphia, Robert Shultz & wife, Wilma of Wartburg. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday July 14, 2001 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Glenn Gamble and Rev. Garvin Walls officiating. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Claxton. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
