Kathy Jo Burgess , formerly Kathy Jo Holt, of Dandridge, passed away Saturday evening at Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was a victim of cancer and had been in a deep, but stable, coma. Kathy is the daughter of Tommy and Ollie Holt of Dandridge and is survived by her husband of 23 years, Bill Burgess , and two children, Jason, 22, and Pamela, 18. Bill is the son of Dennis and Juanita Burgess of Newport. Bill and Kathy retired from the Air Force in 1995 and lived by her parents in Grapevine Hollow near English Mountain. She had been a sales host at Dollywood for four years. Her husband and mother also work at Dollywood. Her father is retired from Bush Brothers in Chestnut Hill. A private graveside service is scheduled Tuesday morning followed by a memorial service for friends and family at the Robert F. Thomas Church at Dollywood in Sevierville at 2 p.m. Dollywood is closed Tuesday, so entrance and parking are free for those wishing to attend. Manes Funeral Home is in charge. [S1] U. S.
