Ramsey, age 64, slipped quietly into eternal sleep Monday, July 11, 2005, in Asheville, N.C. She was a former resident of Cocke County, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Bill Ramsey; son, Ricky Ramsey; and her parents, Raymond and Marie Curtin, of Cleveland, Ohio. She is survived by her children, Mary Evans and her husband, Alan, of Hot Springs, N.C.; Jimmy, Richard, and Bobby Ramsey, of Newport, Tenn.; David Ramsey, of Greeneville; 12 grandchildren, Billie Richards, of Winslow, ME; William Orr, Jamie Orr, Sheena Ramsey, Candace Ramsey, Jordan Ramsey, Brandy, James III, Lekesha and Sarah Ramsey, all of Newport; Brittany and Kyle Ramsey, of Del Rio; seven great-grandchildren and two very special lifelong friends, Lucille Woody, of Newport, and Janice Pierce, of Del Rio. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2005, Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Dan Whitman officiating, with burial in Rocks Creek Cemetery.
