McMURRAY , MARY HAZEL GARLAND "MAMAW" - age 83 of Maryville, beloved wife of the late Bart McMurrAy and daughter of the late Tim and Ola Mae Birchfield Garland and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother passed away Thursday evening, April 17, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Unity Christian Church and also preceded in death by sister, Mae Russell brothers, Clarence, Clay and Robert Garland granddaughter, Kim Sutton and great granddaughter, Regina Gentry. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Lynn and Imogene McMurray , Luke and Evelyn McMurray , Don and Ruth McMurray , Edward and Betty McMurray , James and Vicky McMurray all of Maryville daughters and sons in law, Gladys and the late Bert Harbison of Maryville, Frances and Richard McLean of Virginia, Fern and Douglas Sutton of Florida, Patsy and the late Bill Toney of West Virginia, Joyce and Donnie Sutton of Maryville 18 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren 7 great-great grandchildren brothers, Leon Garland of Maryville and James Garland of South Carolina sister, Lucille Saffles of Maryville several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Darrell Lindsey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment service. Friends may call at their convenience anytime at the family home and the family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
